A Prayer for Purity
Father, You are holy and good. Create in me a clean heart, I pray. Wash away what is not of You, and make my thoughts and ways pure.
Guard my eyes, my mind, and my desires. When temptation comes, be my strength. Help me to walk in honesty and love, and to seek what is right before You.
Fill me with Your Spirit, Lord. Let my words and actions honor You. Keep my heart set on things above, so that my life may reflect Your light.
I trust You to finish Your good work in me, in Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this in the morning to set your heart for the day, or in any moment when you feel pulled toward temptation. It is also a steady prayer to return to as you seek to live honestly before God.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." — Matthew 5:8 (KJV)
