How to Use These Verses
Psalm 100:4–5 reads beautifully aloud before the meal — or choose one short line (Psalm 118:24 fits any morning) and let each person at the table finish "I'm thankful for…" after it. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 is the verse for a year when gratitude has been hard work rather than overflow. Pair any of them with a Thanksgiving dinner grace, a Thanksgiving Day prayer, or — when the year has been heavy — the Thanksgiving prayer in a hard year.
