A Prayer: This Is the Day the Lord Has Made

Father, this is the day You have made. Before I do anything, I stop and thank You. You gave me breath, You gave me morning light. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Help me to receive this day as a gift. Not to rush past it, not to waste it, but to walk through it with a grateful heart, trusting that You go with me.

Whatever comes, joy or trouble, let me remember that You made this day too. You are with me in every hour of it.

So I lift my eyes and say thank You, for life, for grace, for now. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this at the start of your day, before the busyness begins, to set your heart on gratitude. It's also a good prayer to return to at any moment when you need to remember that today is a gift from God.
