A Prayer for Healthy Eyesight
Lord, You gave me eyes to behold Your beautiful world. I thank You for every sight You have let me see. Today I bring my eyes to You, and all that troubles them.
Be near to me, O God, and quiet my worry. Guide the hands of those who care for my sight. Give me patience to seek the help I need.
Where there is strain, bring rest. Where there is fear, bring peace. And help me to trust You, even when my sight is dim.
Thank You for watching over me, Lord. Keep my eyes and my heart in Your light, in Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this when your eyes feel tired, troubled, or in need of healing, or before an eye appointment. Let it settle your worry and remind you to seek the care of a doctor when you need it. You can return to it anytime your sight feels uncertain.
A Verse to Hold On To
"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." — Matthew 6:22 (KJV)
This prayer was written for a visitor who asked for “Camera in my eyes”. Ask for your own.
