A Prayer Before Orientation
Lord, I stand at a new beginning today. So much is unfamiliar, and my heart is both hopeful and nervous. Steady me with Your peace.
Help me to listen well, to learn what I need to know, and to remember the names and faces I meet. Give me courage to ask questions and grace to make a good start.
Surround me with kind people, and let me be kind in return. Open the doors You have for me here, and let this new chapter honor You.
I trust You to walk beside me into the unknown, in Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this the morning of your orientation, or quietly in the car before you walk in. Let it settle your nerves and remind you that God goes with you into every new place.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." — Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
This prayer was written for a visitor who asked for “Orientation”. Ask for your own.
