A Morning Prayer Thanking God for His Faithfulness

Faithful God, You were here again this morning,
just as You were yesterday,
just as You will be tomorrow.

I can't say the same for myself.
I have missed my prayers.
I have forgotten promises I made You.
I have wandered off and come back,
more times than I can count.

And every time, You were waiting.
Not sighing. Not keeping score.
Just faithful, because that is who You are.

Thank You that Your love doesn't rise and fall with mine.
Whatever today brings, You will still be here tonight,
and tomorrow morning, and every morning after that.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this on a morning when you feel you have let God down, or let your prayers slip. Come to it as you would come to a friend who has waited for you without complaint. It is also good on any ordinary morning when you simply want to thank Him for being steady.
