A Prayer When Homeless and Without Food

Father in heaven, You see me right where I am, with no roof over my head and no food to fill me. I am tired, and I am afraid. Draw close to me now.

Lord, You promised to provide for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field. Provide for me too. Send bread for this day, a safe place to rest, and people with kind and open hands.

Guard my body from harm and my heart from despair. Remind me that I am not forgotten, that I am precious in Your sight, and that You walk beside me even here.

Give me hope for tomorrow and strength for today. I place my whole life in Your loving care, in Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this whenever hunger or homelessness weighs on you, by day or in the long hours of night. Let it steady your heart, and where you can, reach out to shelters, food programs, and neighbors who may be part of God's answer.
