A Prayer for When You Ask Why

Lord, my heart is full of questions today. I look at my life, and I ask, "Why?" Why this pain? Why now? Why me?

I do not understand, Father. But I bring my wondering to You, honestly and without pretending. You are big enough to hold my questions.

When answers do not come, help me to trust that You are still good. Help me to rest, even in the mystery, in Your love that never lets me go.

Give me peace for today, and enough light for the next step. I place my "why" in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this when life feels confusing or unfair and you cannot make sense of what is happening. It is okay to bring hard questions to God. Let this prayer be a place to be honest and to find rest even before answers come.
