A Prayer for Those in Poverty

Father of all mercy, You see those who go without. You know every empty cupboard, every unpaid bill, every worried heart.

Provide for daily needs, Lord. Open doors of work and help. Send kind hands to lift up those who are struggling, and give dignity where there is shame.

Guard hope from fading. Remind the poor that they are not forgotten, that You are near to the brokenhearted and faithful to provide.

Stir us to share what we have, and bring an end to want. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this when you or someone you love is facing hard financial need. It is also a prayer to lift up the poor in your community and around the world. Let it move you to both trust God and reach out to help.
