A Prayer for School

Loving Father, we come to You as school begins. Bless this place of learning and all who gather here. Give students open minds and willing hearts. Give teachers patience, wisdom, and joy.

Watch over every child and every classroom. Help us to be kind when others are unkind. Give us courage to try, and grace when we fail. Let this be a place of safety and growth.

Guide our learning and shape our character. Teach us to work hard and to care for one another. May we grow in knowledge and in love.

Thank You for the gift of learning. Walk with us through every lesson and every day, in Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this at the start of a school day, before an assembly, or at the beginning of a new term. It is a gentle way to ask God's blessing over students, teachers, and all who learn together.

A Verse to Hold On To

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." — Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)
