A Graduation Prayer

Father, we made it to this day.

Thank You for every step that led here — the early mornings and the late-night studying, the teachers who wouldn't give up, the friends who made the hard years lighter, the exams passed and the ones barely survived. None of it was wasted. You were in all of it.

Now a tassel turns, and a door opens, and honestly, Lord — it's exciting and a little frightening. The plans are part-formed. The future is wide. So before anything else, we ask for You. Go ahead of this graduate into whatever comes next: the job, the school, the city, the unknown.

Give them wisdom bigger than their years, friends who sharpen them, work that matters, and the courage to start over as a beginner again. When they succeed, keep them humble. When they stumble, remind them that a stumble is not the end of the story.

They leave this place with a diploma in hand. Let them leave with Your blessing on their head.

When to Pray This

Pray this on graduation morning, at the family dinner afterward, or over a card tucked into a gift. It fits high school, college, or any finish line that took years to reach. Parents, grandparents, and graduates themselves can all pray it.
