Your Love in the Morning — A Prayer From Psalm 143

Lord, before I hear anything else today,
let me hear of Your unfailing love.

I am tired in my spirit.
I remember how You helped me in years gone by,
and I hold out my hands to You
like dry ground waiting for rain.

Speak love to me first.
Then show me the way I should walk.
There are choices in front of me today,
and I don't want to make them alone.

I lift up my soul to You
like an empty cup, waiting to be filled.

Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground,
one step at a time,
all the way through this day.
