Your Kingdom Come — A Morning Prayer
Your kingdom come, Lord.
I pray it this morning with my whole heart.Come to the places where things are broken:
the hospital rooms and the war zones,
the empty kitchens, the lonely houses,
the families that have stopped speaking.
Come and make all things new,
as You have promised. And until that day comes,
let Your kingdom show up in small ways,
like a seed hidden in the ground.
A meal shared. A wrong put right.
A stranger welcomed. A grudge let go.Let it start with me.
Let Your rule be welcome in my heart,
my words, my money, my time.
Let people catch a glimpse today
of what Your kingdom is like.In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this in the morning when the news has left you heavy and the world feels too broken to mend. It is also a good way to slow down and pray that line of the Lord's Prayer with some care.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Behold, I make all things new." — Revelation 21:5 (KJV)
