Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread — A Morning Prayer

Father, give us this day our daily bread.

In the wilderness You sent bread every morning,
just enough for that one day.
Whatever they tried to save had spoiled by the next morning.
Your people had to trust You fresh each sunrise.

So I'm not asking for a full storehouse.
I'm asking for today:
food on the table and strength for the day,
a roof, warm clothes, the medicine I need.

Thank You for the farmers and the bakers,
the drivers and the shop workers,
and every hand that brings bread to my table.

You taught me to pray for us, not just for me.
So I pray for everyone who will go hungry today.
Show me how to share what I've been given.

And feed my soul too, Lord.
I need You even more than bread.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
