A Prayer of Praise

Lord, I have nothing to ask today. I only want to look at You.

You were God before the first morning, and You will be God after the last. You spoke, and there were oceans. You breathed, and there was life. And still You bend down to listen when someone like me whispers Your name.

You are holy — and yet gentle. You are mighty — and yet patient. You keep every star in its place and every sparrow in Your sight. No one taught You wisdom. No one gave You strength. Everything good flows out of who You are.

So I praise You — not for what You have given me, but for what You are like. Faithful when I am not. Kind when no one is watching. True from generation to generation.

Let my whole life say what my mouth says now: You are worthy. You are good. You are God.

When to Pray This

Pray this when you want to worship without a wish list — no requests, just adoration. It fits a quiet morning, a drive with the radio off, or the opening of your devotional time. If words run out, simply sit in silence and let the last stanza be enough.
