An Evening Prayer to Sleep Forgiven
Merciful Father, I've told You everything:
the sharp words, the selfish choices,
the things I did and the things I didn't.
You heard it all, and You did not turn away. But my mind keeps replaying the worst of it,
like a scene I keep rewinding
to see if it ends differently. It never does.So speak louder than my memory tonight.
Tell me again what You have already said:
there is no condemnation for those in Christ.
Not less. Not later. None.Where I need to make things right,
I will do it in the morning.
Tonight, let me lie down like a child
who has said sorry and been held.
Let me sleep as one forgiven. In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this in bed when your mind keeps replaying something you regret. Pray it as many nights as you need to, and if there is something to make right, promise yourself you will do it in the morning.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." — Romans 8:1 (BSB)
