A Morning Prayer to Be a Blessing to Someone

Father, You have blessed me more than I can count.
Today, let some of it spill over.

Put someone on my heart this morning.
Maybe a neighbor who lives alone.
A friend who has gone quiet.
Someone grieving, whom everyone else has stopped asking about.
A tired young parent. A stranger in a long line.

Show me the small thing I can do:
a phone call, a note in the mail,
a meal, an errand, an hour of my time.
Let me do it simply,
without needing anyone to notice.

And if I am the one who needs a blessing today,
let me receive it gladly.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
