A Prayer to Overcome Envy
Lord, You see the envy in my heart. I have looked at what others have and felt my peace slip away. Forgive me, Father.
Teach me to be glad for the good that comes to others. Help me to trust that You know my needs, and that Your love for me is not made smaller by Your love for them.
Fill me with contentment and a thankful heart. Let me count the gifts You have given me, and rest in Your goodness instead of comparing my life to anyone else.
Free me from this heaviness, and give me joy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
