A Prayer Over a New Relationship
Loving Father, I bring this new relationship to You. Thank You for the joy and hope it brings to my heart. Watch over us as we begin to know one another.
Give us honesty and kindness. Help us to be patient and gentle, and to build on a foundation of respect and truth. Guard us from fear and from rushing ahead of Your plan.
Lord, grant us wisdom to see clearly. If this is right, draw us closer. If it is not, give us peace to trust Your way. Let You be at the center of all we share.
I place our hearts in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this in the early days of a new relationship, when hope and uncertainty often sit side by side. It is a good prayer to say quietly before a date, or whenever you want to invite God into what is beginning.
