A Prayer from Jeremiah 17

Lord, You searched the heart and know all my ways. I bring You my trust today. Let me not lean on human strength alone, but rest my hope in You.

Make me like a tree planted by the water, sending roots toward the stream. When heat comes, keep my leaves green. When drought comes, keep me bearing fruit in You.

Heal me, Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise. You are the hope of all who trust in You.

Set my heart on You above every other thing, that I may be blessed in You alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this when you are choosing where to place your trust, or when you feel dry and weary. It fits quiet study of Jeremiah 17, or any moment you want your roots to go deeper into God.
