A Prayer for Those Who Act in Ignorance
Father, You know every heart, even those who do not yet understand. I bring before You the people who act in ignorance, and the hurt it can cause.
Give me patience where I am quick to judge. Soften my own heart, and keep me from pride, for I too have much to learn.
Open blind eyes and closed minds, Lord. Lead each of us gently into truth, and teach us to treat one another with kindness.
Help me answer harshness with grace, as You have been gracious to me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this when you feel frustrated by people who seem closed-minded or careless. It can steady your heart before a difficult conversation and remind you to respond with patience rather than contempt.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." — Luke 23:34 (KJV)
This prayer was written for a visitor who asked for “Ignorant people”. Ask for your own.
