A Prayer for Peace in a Relationship
Lord of peace, we bring this relationship to You. Where there has been tension, bring calm. Where there have been harsh words, bring gentleness.
Soften our hearts toward one another. Help us to listen, to forgive, and to speak with kindness. Teach us patience when we are frustrated, and grace when we are hurt.
Heal what is broken between us, and restore trust and understanding. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, settle over us both.
Draw us closer to You and to each other, in Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this when conflict or distance has crept into a relationship and you long for calm. It can be prayed quietly on your own, or together with the other person if they are willing. Let it steady your heart before a difficult conversation.
