A Prayer for Good Food and the Healing of the World
Father, we thank you for this good food, for every taste and gift of your hand. We bless you, Giver of all things, and we lift up our hearts to you.
Lord Jesus, teach us to follow you. We long for your healing in a broken world. Mend what is wounded, lift what is weary, and draw all things toward your light.
We yearn for the day when you make all things new, when sorrow is gone and joy returns in glory. Until then, keep us faithful and grateful, walking close beside you each day.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this before a meal when your heart is full of both thanks and longing. It joins gratitude for daily bread with hope for Christ's healing and the renewal of all creation. Say it slowly, letting both the thanks and the yearning rise together.
A Verse to Hold On To
"And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new." — Revelation 21:5 (KJV)
This prayer was written for a visitor who asked for “A prayer for great food and following Christ and yearning for his healing and restoring the world to its joyful glory”. Ask for your own.
