A Prayer for a Vacation

Father, thank You for this time of rest. You know how tired I have been, and I come to You grateful for days set apart to breathe and enjoy Your gifts.

Go with us as we travel. Keep us safe on every road and in every place we stay. Let this time refresh our bodies and renew our hearts.

Help me to notice Your goodness in small moments: in laughter, in beauty, in quiet. Keep my mind free from worry, and teach me to simply receive Your care.

Thank You for rest, Lord. May I return home renewed and thankful, in Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this as you pack, before you set out, or on the first morning of your trip. It is also a gentle reminder to pause and thank God for rest whenever you feel yourself slowing down.

A Verse to Hold On To

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
