Lord, You know what is being said about me, and You know the truth. My heart is heavy from the false words of my neighbor. I bring this hurt to You.
Guard my name and my peace, Father. Keep me from bitterness and revenge. Help me not to repay lies with lies, but to walk in honesty and calm.
Soften my neighbor's heart, and soften mine. Give me grace to forgive, even while I long for the truth to come to light in Your good time.
Be my defender, Lord. I trust my reputation and my future to Your hands, in Jesus' name, Amen.
