A Prayer for a Marriage That Feels Empty

Father, I come with a heavy heart. I am married, yet I feel alone. The closeness I longed for seems gone, and I grieve what feels lost.

Meet me in this empty place. Where there is silence, bring honesty. Where there is distance, bring the first small steps of grace. You see what no one else sees.

Lord, I cannot mend this by myself. Soften both our hearts. Give me patience, courage, and wisdom to know what to do next, and the strength to keep loving even now.

Hold me when I am weary, and give me hope that does not depend on what I feel today. I trust my marriage and my future to You, in Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this when your marriage feels distant, empty, or like it barely exists anymore. Let it be an honest talk with God in a lonely moment, and consider reaching out to a trusted counselor or pastor as well.

A Verse to Hold On To

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." — Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
