A Prayer for a Child Who Has Left the Faith

Father, my heart aches for my child who has turned away from You. I bring this ache to You now, for I cannot carry it alone.

You know the path they walk, and You love them more than I ever could. Where I feel fear, give me trust. Where I feel loss, give me hope.

Draw my child gently back toward Your light. Soften any hardness, heal any hurt, and let Your love find them wherever they are.

Help me to keep loving them without condition, and to keep praying without giving up. I place them in Your faithful hands, in Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this whenever worry for your child rises up, especially in quiet moments alone. Let it steady you when fear tempts you to despair, and return to it as often as your heart needs.
