Prayer of the Day

Father, You heard me. I asked, and You answered, and I do not want to rush past this moment the way I so often do.

Thank You — not only for what You gave, but for listening at all. Thank You for carrying me through the waiting, when I wondered if anything was happening. Something was. You were faithful the whole time.

Let me remember this the next time I am afraid. Write it down in my heart: You hear, and You are good.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank You, Father, for this day now ending.

For food on the table and a place to sleep. For work done and rest coming. For the people who love me, and the mercy that met me every hour, seen and unseen.

I didn't earn a minute of it. Receive my thanks — it's all I have to give back tonight, and You've never asked for more.
