Prayer of the Day

Father, thank You for this new job. I asked, You opened the door, and tomorrow I walk through it.

Calm my first-day jitters — the new badge, the new names, the new coffee machine I won't know how to work.

Help me learn fast and ask questions without shame. Give me favor with my new coworkers and patience with myself while everything is still unfamiliar.

Let me become, in time, the person there that others are glad to see walk in.

This job was Your gift, Lord. Help me treat it that way.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank You, Father, for this day now ending.

For food on the table and a place to sleep. For work done and rest coming. For the people who love me, and the mercy that met me every hour, seen and unseen.

I didn't earn a minute of it. Receive my thanks — it's all I have to give back tonight, and You've never asked for more.
